SCHOOL-AGE REC CLASSES

The School-Aged Recreational Program is available to children who are entering or enrolled in 1st grade and up. Our classes are designed to provide age-appropriate instruction in foundational gymnastics skills and movement patterns on boys and girls apparatus, emphasizing personal achievement and skill-based lesson progressions. The recreational program offers both beginner and intermediate-level classes for boys and girls on all the gymnastics apparatus in addition to classes focused on tumbling and trampoline. Intermediate/Advanced level recreational classes are available with a coach’s recommendation

Classes are designed to challenge students throughout the school year with the expectation that a child will stay in the same class throughout the fall, winter, and spring. Instructors are trained to progress the student’s skills at their own individualized pace. Students often use the summer as a time to try a new level or pick up extra classes or join a camp in order to move ahead before the upcoming school year.
